PROGRAMS
The following are three possible programs to draw from, and any program can be be tailored to your event and audience.
Program One
Leadership, Governance and
Decisions: Lessons from Space Aviation, skydiving and space flight demand unparalleled team preparation, and the right decisions in time-critical situations. Many environments present similar challenges, and the same strategies used by flight crews, skydiving teams, and mission control can be highly effective.
Organizational factors in space accidents are explored, and anecdotes from spaceflight and skydiving are used to demonstrate how crew resource management and preparation for time-critical decisions can be applied to other high-reliability environments. This program is taught at Northwestern's
Kellogg School of Management, UT Austin's McCombs School of Business, and corporate leadership workshops. |
Program Two
The Experience of Space & Future of Space Exploration
Using anecdotes, humor and video footage from her spaceflights, Mary Ellen Weber brings space travel vividly to life:

Program Three
STEM Unscripted:
Inspiring the Pursuit of Science & Math Education This program takes a fresh approach to inspiring students to pursue STEM education. Beyond making STEM "fun," this program emphasizes the many rewards that come from choosing this arduous path, both the personal high that comes from conquering the challenge and the skills that will catapult any career and keep doors open.
Drawing on her own childhood experiences, Weber's passionate message is that while many doors may seemingly be closed, education and excellence are the keys to being able to walk through those doors when they open in the future. |
